Ginger is a native plant from tropical Asia. Ginger is cultivated in many places in China, Guatemala, India, Japan, Nigeria and Jamaica. Ginger can also be grown in the west. Even in the living room you can grow ginger as a houseplant.

Ginger is a perennial plant with a straight, reed-like stem on which white flowers bloom, growing up from a crawling, articulated root.

Ginger has been in use in China and India for thousands of years because of its medicinal properties. The ginger plant was also known at the time of the Ancient Greeks and Romans. Ginger was introduced to Europe by Arabs between the tenth and fifteenth centuries; a long time later, ginger was taken to South America by the Spaniards

Ginger Properties:

Warming, antiseptic, expectorant, analgesic, detoxifying, appetizing, wind-driving, stimulating, digestive-enhancing, invigorating.

Operation of Ginger:

Ginger works very well against nausea, motion sickness and morning sickness during pregnancy, because it reduces nausea and the chance of vomiting.

When ginger is massaged into the limbs and musculature or when you take a bath containing ginger pieces, blood flow in the body will improve, and it will reduce rheumatic pains and increase the heat in your body.
